Cristina Moreno

Ōmbia is a design studio founded by Cristina Moreno, whose practice is deeply rooted in her Colombian heritage. From this foundation, the studio establishes an ongoing dialogue with craft traditions, understood as a living language.

Through furniture, Ōmbia explores the organic as a form of expression. Its pieces move away from rigidity, giving way to surfaces where the process remains visible — there is no intention to conceal, but rather to reveal.

Each object is conceived as a singular piece: imperfect, tactile, alive. Within them, material takes on an almost emotional quality, conveying a quiet warmth that transforms a space without imposing on it.

The studio’s work is distinguished by a careful attention to texture, form, and detail, resulting in pieces that invite pause — encouraging a more contemplative way of inhabiting space
